The Client:
Ashcroft Park
Ashcroft Park is a leisure, adventure, and team-building sports zone with activities ranging from paintballing, laser combat, archery and so much more! We love stuff like this. You know, being outdoors and firing paintball guns at your buddies – such fun!
We pitched our social offering to the guys at Ashcroft Park and they decided to roll with a fully-blown content creation package in order to help them get their socials off the ground. This was all with the backdrop of a global pandemic, so it was pretty touch and go.
Ashcroft Park offers a unique experience, full to the brim with exciting opportunities and incredible customer service. Honestly, if you’re local, take the kids or go with friends, you’ll have a whale of a time! They cater to a wide demographic and have something for everyone to enjoy, which we felt was paramount to highlight when creating content.
The brief
We spent a day at Ashcroft Park capturing a rich bank of imagery and dodging paintballs. The images we captured were going to be used across their socials and on their brand spanking new website.
We were tasked with focusing on the most popular activities and capturing people tackling them in a way that sold the experience of Ashcroft Park to the wider world. When they decided to deploy our brains their social media presence had been inactive for a while. So the priority was to get some awesome imagery and pick up where they left off.
We were tasked with the following:
- To capture a bank of imagery for their socials and website.
- To encapsulate their fun and energetic atmosphere.
- To create imagery in a way that makes Ashcroft Park stand out from their competitors.
Once we had the imagery to hand, we edited and sent it back. We then transitioned into the social media scheduling side of the project, which started with daily posting to build up momentum for the first month. Due to early successes, this was then swapped to 3 times per week to maintain the presence of Ashcroft Park on social media feeds, even during the first, second, and third UK lockdown.
The process
Our main priority for this shoot was to capture those taking part in activities as naturally as possible while having fun and enjoying the experience ourselves. We need the audience to be able to see themselves at Ashcroft Park, we need our images to resonate with them. Pair imagery that does that with some compelling copy for socials, and you have a good combination.
We focused heavily on the most popular events at the time and promoted the activities that could be carried out in groups of 6. Our casual approach to photoshoots worked very well with these guys, and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of working with them!
What we delivered
Ashcroft Park received a bank of imagery that could now be deployed across their site. While they set about doing that, we took control of their socials. We started an Instagram account from scratch, and you can now see a fully aligned feed that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also promotes Ashcroft Park’s uniqueness to its fullest potential!
