The Brief

Woolcool approached our creative agency with an initial request to produce video content for their “how to pack a box” campaign. This campaign aimed to educate customers on the best practices for utilising their wool insulation. The videos were designed to align with Woolcool’s branding, which featured a distinct colour palette. We were tasked with creating engaging, informative videos while maintaining brand consistency.

The Process

How to Pack a Box

For the “how to pack a box” video, we chose a primary colour from Woolcool’s palette, and sourced props and materials to shoot the video in our studio. This video provided guidance for packing boxes in both the food and general industries. Following this successful project, Woolcool retained our services on a monthly subscription basis to create content for their various marketing channels, including social media, their website, and email marketing.

The next phase of our collaboration focused on addressing customer inquiries about the disposal of Woolcool’s insulation material. Instead of traditional written guides, Woolcool sought to create a series of vibrant, visually appealing videos that echoed the style of the initial campaign as well as their brand identity. We named this video series “Recycle, Reuse, Return.” It encompassed three key elements:

1. Recycle

Demonstrated how to recycle their wool insulation and how to separate and dispose of the plastic and wool components.

2. Reuse

Explored creative applications, like filling dog beds, lining a bird box and stuffing a draught excluder.

3. Return

Highlighted Woolcool’s unique offering of returning wool for proper disposal, reuse, or recycling.

We filmed these videos in our studio, using a variety of props and models to illustrate the best practices for each category. In addition to these individual videos, we compiled a larger video that integrated all three elements. This comprehensive video served as a valuable educational tool on Woolcool’s website and was also shared across their social media platforms, emphasising both the versatility of their packing material and their commitment to environmental sustainability.

Our collaboration extended to Woolcool’s sub-brand, “Hortiwool,” which focuses on gardening and horticulture. We conducted a photo shoot at an allotment to showcase the uses of their horticultural wool products.

The Deliverables

Our work for Woolcool has resulted in a series of engaging, colourful, and on-brand content pieces that effectively communicate their core messages of environmental friendliness, sustainable resource use, and commitment to the planet. These videos and photographs have empowered Woolcool to educate and inspire their audience about the benefits of their products.

Summary

Woolcool, a sustainable packing solutions company, sought our creative agency’s assistance to produce video content. We began by creating an informative “how to pack a box” video, aligning with Woolcool’s brand colours. This led to a retained content subscription, with a focus on a “Recycle, Reuse, Return” video series showcasing wool insulation’s eco-friendly applications. Our ongoing collaboration with Woolcool and their sub-brand, Horty Wool, has resulted in engaging, on-brand content that reinforces their environmental commitment.
